Example and comparison of web-based and mobile instruction strategies in learning computer units (A practice of Sinop Universty)

Mobile learning and web assisted education subjects are considered in this study and the effects of these on education are evaluated. In order to research this 89 students are picked by simple random sampling method from the students in Sinop University Gerze Vocational High School. The picked 89 students are seperated in to two gruoups by simple random sampling method which is one of the probobility sampling methods. These groups have visited the web assisted education and mobile learning web sites which are prepared for supporting learning the subject of computer hardware units whenever they want.The effect of these two distance education methods which are generated in purpose of support the education on students and which method is more effective is the main problem of this research.Web assisted education sites and mobile learning sites are prepared in order to examine this problem. The websites are taken into www.erhansur.com domain in order to students can reach anytime.As a result of tests which have been made after students reached distance education websites it?s concluded that distance education supprt web sites have affected success in positive way. The score means of students in both groups have increased. The score means of students in web assisted education group have increased more than the score means of students in mobile learning group, but this difference of increase level doesn?t create any statistically significant differentness. The attitudes of student in both groups for distance education methods are in positive way. After education period the attitudes of student in both groups for distance education methods haven?t changed significantly.
