Abstract (EN)
With the developing technology, it has become almost imperative that humans and robots work together. This thesis includes a research on the personal area calculation that the robot must comply with when considering the possibility of human and robot working together. In this thesis, instead of social rules in particular, the social and cultural rules of Turkish society and the gender of the individuals were taken into consideration during the research. Therefore, it is aimed that the rules proposed in this study are being specific to Turkish Society. In this study, two basic rules have been proposed to be used for mobile robot social path planning while mobile robots are used in Turkish Society. In addition, individual and group personal space calculation and drawings that will be obtained by using these rules are presented in this study. Finally, the proposed two basic rules and an example of social path planning application for mobile robots using Ant Lion Optimization Algorithm are included in the thesis.
