A study on the effects of modern architecture on the architectural texture of Bucak district of Burdur province

The concept of modernization has affected architecture as well as many paradigms. This movement of conservation of architectural space emerged after the foundation of the Republic in places in Turkey and the dynamics of the country were shaped during this period. The requirements of meeting the needs of the individuals who make up the society are reflected in the architectural structures, and the architectural structures are about to change and get rid of them in order to meet the requirements. During this period traditional building and construction requirements shifts changed. The effects of these changes experienced in the historical process have also been reflected in the provinces and districts and neighborhoods, which are the building blocks of the provinces. In this center, modern architectural housing heritages reflected in Bucak district of Burdur province were investigated. Formal organizations, functionally distributed plan schemes, construction technologies and façade identity features in the modern period buildings in Bucak architectural texture were investigated in the architectural inventories of Bucak district. In line with these examinations, the change and transformation that occurred within the scope of the modern period were documented in written form.
