Abstract (EN)

prominent scholars of Ottoman Empire. He penned significant books on various areas. As the most famous among them, Sherh-Isaguci was on Logic and we are certain of its authenticity up to now. Though it was a commentary work, it took a valuable place in Logic due to its original insights into controversial topics in Logic and its having been used as a textbook in educational institutions of Ottoman Empire. The present study titled "Molla Fenari's Logic of Concepts" as an unstudied subject aims to present how Molla Fenari examined the logic of concepts. Chapter I examines issues of "term" and "concept," their types and their relations to each other as a preparatory work in order to understand Fenari's logic of concepts. Chapter II studies Fenari's logic of concepts with a great attention. His new insights to the logic of concepts were investigated so that his understanding on the subject was determined. In conclusion, we have found out that in addition to being a student of Islamic Logic tradition, he brought up new perspectives to the area with his understanding of concept. Keywords: Molla Fenari, Concept, Term, Five Universes, Definition.
