Abstract (EN)

In this study, particleboards were produced by mixing black pine (Pinus nigra Arnold) and corn stalk (Zea mays indurate Sturt.) Chips in certain proportions (0, 25, 50, 75 and 100%). The suitability of corn stalks for particleboard production was investigated. The particleboards were produced in three layers with urea-formaldehyde resin. Some physical and mechanical properties of the produced particleboards were tested. The physical properties; Moisture content, density, water uptake in 2 and 24 hours and thickness swelling were determined. The mechanical properties, bending strength, modulus of elasticity in bending and tensile strength perpendicular to the surface were determined in accordance with the principles specified in the standards. Formaldehyde emission tests were determined photometrically according to the perforator method. As a result 50% of using the corn stalks can be produced as a mixture of standards-compliant particleboars.
