Muammer b. Abbâd es-Sülemî's kalam system

This study is about Muammer b. Abbâd es-Sulemı's, one of the important representatives of the Mu'tazila Sect and a person who has not been studied enough in the Science of Kalam for various reasons. It is about Abbâd es-Sulemi's views on theological issues. First of all, the political and scientific environment that Muammer was in was briefly evaluated. In addition, information about Muammer's own life was mentioned, as far as we could obtain from the sources. The most important issue in Muammer's thought system is the Theory of Meaning. In this study, after explaining the meaning of the word meaning and what scholars mean by Muammer's word mâna, the Theory of Mâna was emphasized. After Muammer's vision of Allah and man, who had his own views unlike the general ones, his views on body, substance and accident were touched upon. The opinions of scholars who focus on Muammer regarding the source of Muammer's thoughts were discussed. Finally, the thoughts of classical period figures who criticized Muammer and his views about Muammer were examined.
