Measurement of the degree of accounting education in meeting the entities' expectations and evaluation of the compatibility of accounting education with international accounting education standards

The most important factor for candidates? and members of accountingprofession skill developments and their adaptation to emerged developmentsis the accounting education. Therefore International Education Standards forProfessional Accountants organizing education are applied in a lot ofcountries and the application of these standards in our country will bebeneficial. In this study, International Education Standards for ProfessionalAccountants were investigated.In the first part of this study, accounting and related concepts weredescribed with related literature. After that, accounting education and itsimportance were mentioned and expectations of accounting education wereexplained. I the second part of our study, the existing condition of theaccounting education in Turkey was studied and accounting education inTurkey and new developments of accounting education of processes ofintegration of Europe Union were explained. In the third part of our study,International Education Standards for Professional Accountants and studiesin this field in our country were mentioned. At the last part of our study, theattitudes of the accounting professionals towards to International EducationStandards for Professional Accountants were researched.At the end of this study, it emerged that the accounting professionalsare keen to International Education Standards for Professional Accountantsand adopt it.
