Abstract (EN)
The Bukhara Khanate which is established in Turkestan, has an important place in Turkish history. Three dynasties, which are named the Shaybans (1500-1599), Astrakhanids (1599-1785) and Mangits (1785-1920) undertook the administration of the aforementioned khanate. The work called Muhitu't-Tevârih, which we are working on, was written by Muhammed Emin Bin Mirza Muhammed Zaman Buhârî as a request of İbrahim Koşbeği who ise a member of the Astrakhan nobles, during the reign of Sübhan Kulu Khan (1681-1702). The work consists of ten chapters. In his work, the author provides valuable information about the Shaybanli and the Astrakhan dynasty, scholars and artists. In addition to the political events of the period, it conveys information about literature, music and instruments used in that period. Based on the information published by the author, we can understand that he was close to the rulers and he was highly cultured. Although we do not know the date when the author wrote the work, we see that he completed the work in 5 Mart 1699. Our study is handled in two parts, analysis and translation. In the analysis part, information about the author and his work is given. A general evaluation of the translated part was made and short anecdotes were given about the sheikhs and scholars mentioned in the work written by the author. The sources that are used by the author while creating his work are shared. In addition, a general evaluation was made about the Shaybanli and Astrakhanids in order to understand that period much better. In the translation part, the work has been translated from Persian to Turkish, and the parts of the poem have been translated in a basic structure. Original texts by Mehrdad Fallahzadeh and Forogh Hashabeiky were published in print in 2014. The Persian copy of the work has been added to the last section of this study. Many chronicles in the Turkish world are waiting to be translated into Turkish language. This study has been prepared in the hope that it will encourage other researchers.
