Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is investigation of effects of straight and reverse polarity on welding seam form by dc welding in different welding processes.In the research stage of this thesis arc physics, properties of welding machines and their areas of usage, arc welding parameters which affects welding seam form, changing of polarity and its effects on arc welding methods, effects of wave form control technology on welding seam in arc welding methods. As a result of research, the effects of straight and reverse polarity condition in TIG, MIG and SMAW on welding seam form to penetration, welding seam height and welding seam width have been investigated. The importance for economic and qualified welding seam has occurred with obtained values. It has been understood that type of polarity (straight or reverse) has a great effect on penetration and welding seam height values. In addition to polarity changes during the welding process, also welding current and welding speed has been used as a parameter in the tests. In this study the main reason of choosing welding current and welding speed as other parameters is based on economics of welding process.The research which has been done related to the effect of polarity type on welding seam form has contributed to be created new technologies. For instance wave form control technology has been occurred with utilizing of these types of experimental studies.
