Abstract (EN)

In this study, music teacher candidates' levels of mobile application usage during their education and the effect of using mobile applications on Turkish music aural skills were examined. Survey and experimental designs were used as research methods. In the survey study, the Mobile Application Usage in Music Learning scale developed by the researcher was used. After the validity and reliability studies were carried out, a scale was applied to 505 music teacher candidates from 5 universities. To be used in the experimental phase, an achievement test was developed by carrying out validity and reliability studies, and a mobile application, in which Turkish music aural exercises can be performed, was developed. According to the survey study: It was concluded that the mobile application usage levels of the music teacher candidates are medium level, which varies according to gender, but it did not change according to class level, type of individual instrument, and operating system used. As a result of the experiment; It was concluded that the mobile application developed had a high and positive effect on the Turkish music aural skills of the music teacher candidates.
