Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this research is to develop a scale, which designates pre-service musical teachers' level of musical awareness. In the light of this aim, reliability and validity studies, including the usage of questions about musical awareness prepared in accordance with the ideas of experts and a survey of demographic information, were provided. The study group of the research consists of 89 first, second, third and fourth grades pre-service music teachers. In order to discover the factor structure of the measure, SPSS 25 package program was used. Since the measure is a likert scale and is including a dimensional structure, Cronbach Alpha test was carried out. The results revealed that the scale consists of 4 sub-dimensions and 78 items and the reliability coefficient is greater than .70 for all sub-dimensions; therefore the reliability of the scale is in a high-level. The developed scale is named as Musical Awareness Scale (MUZFO).
