Abstract (EN)

In this study, carbene precursor N-substituted benzothiazolium salts were prepared and new Pd(II)-NSHC and Ru(II)-NSHC complexes in the literature were synthesized by reacting the precursors with metal salts. The compounds were characterized by NMR, FT-IR, UV-Vis, HR-ESI- MS, EDX-SEM, DTA-TG, elemental analysis and single-crystal X-Ray diffraction crystallographic methods. The catalytic activities of Ru(II) complexes in transfer hydrogenation and Pd(II) complexes in C-C bond coupling were examined. The anticancer, antimicrobial, antifungal and electropolymerization properties of selected complexes were investigated. KEYWORDS: Benzothiazole, N,S-heterocyclic carbene, NSHC, NHC, Ru(II)-NSHC, Pd(II)-NSHC, electropolymerization, Suzuki-Miyaura, transfer hydrogenation, anticancer, antimicrobial, antifungal.
