Abstract (EN)

From the earliest narratives to the present day, the road and the journey have been a major theme in oral and written literature, used to describe the processes of change, transformation and maturation experienced by individuals on both material and spiritual levels. Undoubtedly, the concrete/abstract journeys that people make or are forced to make due to economic, political, social, cultural and psychological reasons have been reflected in the novel genre and have been handled by the authors in both aspects, reel and emotional. The novels of Nazan Bekiroğlu, ın addition to the physical journeys of the people in the fiction of the novel, it has also been a source of the physical and inner aspects of the journey trace in terms of reflecting the journeys experienced in their inner worlds. This study emphasises the contributions of physical and inner journeys to the heroes and fiction of Nazan Bekiroğlu's novels; an attempt has been made to identify the reasons for the emergence of the journey, the ways in which it appears in the novels and the consequences for the protagonists of the novels. In the first part of the study, in which the document analysis method, the concepts of road and journey are defined and the reflections of these concepts in the world of literature are discussed. In the second part of the study, Nazan Bekiroğlu's life, literary personality and works are discussed and summaries of the author's novels are given. In the last part of the study, the related works are analysed under various headings in the context of road and journey; ın the works examined, it was observed that the theme of journey was reflected in fiction in physical and symbolic terms.
