The contributions of Necati Oner to the science of logic

This research is based on the contributions of Necati Oner to the science of logic and also examines Oner?s mentality of logic as a whole.In Chapter 1, the aim of the research, the importance of the research, the way of the research and other researches about the subject are held.In Chapter 2, the life of Necati ONER, his works, his personality as a scientist, his mentality of philosophy and logic are widely explained.In Chapter 3, the development of logic in Turkey is held under the influence of Oner?s post graduation thesis ? The Mentality of Science and Logic in Turkey after Tanzimat?. In this chapter some descriptions about logic are given. Also some examples about effective philosophers are given. Logic in Muslim world, Logic in Muslim seminaries of Ottoman Empire, the mentality of logic before and after Tanzimat are deeply analysed.Forms the starting point of the research. In his Assistant Professor thesis ? The Main Problem of Logic According to Sociology School of French? Oner criticizes the Sociology School of French and deals with the problem of the source of logic. Classification, mentality, proto thinking, participation, category, are main subjects that mentioned in this research. Critical mentality that added to the main mentalities as the third mentality and the question why second group mentalities are named as attitude are the other subjects that held in this research.Chapter 4 implicates the principles of mind which has quite important place in Oner?s mentality of logic.At the end of the thesis, Oner?s logic knowledge is argued and interpreted.Key Words: Critical Mentality, Attitude, Principles of Mind, Mentality.
