Abstract (EN)
In this study, general information about drinking and water networks was presented. Hardy-cross and dead points methods using Netcad drinking water module were compared in detail. Using these two methods, head losses in water networks were calculated by means of Netcad package program. It is seen that the manual calculations and the computer program calculations are compatible with each other. In the network system solved by dead points method and hardy-cross method, the results were found to be different from each other. These differences were evaluated in view of discharge, diameter and head losses. Dead points method was found to be more practical and easy than hardy-cross method. The data of the selected example project showed that the findings in the study are accuracy. In other words, to choice the dead points method gives more practical results.
