Abstract (EN)
Nezihe Meriç (1925_) who is accepted as the first woman writer of the Republic Period, published her story book `Bozbulanık? in 1953.In this story book she collected her first literary works.Being a member of the 1950?s and supporting this generation, she came up to now with great success by improving her art day by day and causing to feel the changes she came across in her stories. The woman writer who kept `anxiety of style and art?in fore ground, also didn?t neglect the social structure.Her works consist of seven story books, two novels, three plays, ten children story books and one memory book. In this essay which is prepared as a master thesis, the life of Nezihe Meriç is given in details and her stories are analysed both in structure and theme .In addition a bibliography is added to the thesis.I think and hope this thesis about `Nezihe Meriç? will assist to the literature surveys.
