Abstract (EN)

In this study, research on energy and cost analysis of apple and cherry production in Niğde Ulukışla region was calculated and the energy values per unit production area of the inputs in production, energy yield and total cost and input values of the product obtained were calculated. The data used in the study were obtained from 60 farms producing apples and cherries according to their land size. In the research, direct and indirect energy usage amounts and their share in total energy consumption were determined in apple and cherry production. According to the research results, the total energy consumption in Apple and Cherry production was calculated as 67648,50 MJ/ha and 54292,66 MJ/ha, respectively. Energy output, Apple and Cherry production were determined to be 53059.62 MJ/ha and 81352.65 MJ/ha, respectively. The energy ratio value was calculated as 0.78 and 1.50 for Apple and Cherry, respectively. As a result of cost (expense) analysis; the profit value was calculated to be 10072.21 TL/ha and 42436.61 TL/ha for Apple and Cherry, respectively. The energy efficiency and production profit of apple producers were determined to be lower than that of Cherry producers. It is concluded that apple producers have warehouse holding periods so that they can evaluate their products in the future. It has been determined that cherry producers have a risky production since they have to market the product available at the time of harvest.
