Abstract (EN)
In this research, the Ni42.6Co20W20B17.4 metallic glass alloy in the Ni-CoWB alloy system was subjected to crystallization different times at isothermal temperature and the mechanical, microstructural properties and corrosion behavior of crystallization on the metallic glass alloy were investigated. The microhardness of the metallic glass alloy was measured as 1135 Hv, and the hardness of 1445 Hv was reached in the composite samples obtained. The reason for the increase in the hardness of the glassy alloy as a result of the crystallization process is that the CoWB phase with a hardness of 4500-5000 Hv precipitated in the structure. The fracture toughness of the composite with the highest hardness was found to be in the range of 3,50-11,63 Mpa√m. The corrosion resistance of the composite sample, which has reached the highest hardness, in 3,5% NaCl and 1 M HCl solutions has been revealed. The corrosion resistance value (Ikor) of the composite sample in 3,5% NaCl solution was measured as 20,58 µA/cm2 and the corrosion resistance (Ikor) in 1 M HCl was measured as 0,385 µA/ cm2.
