Abstract (EN)
In this thesis x-ray binary systems consisting of a neutron star and a low/high mass component has been studied. It has been collated from the literatüre the orbital and physical parameters of these systems, i.e. the orbital period, spectral type, mass, radius, etc., and presented them in a table. Using the table we discussed what angular momentum loss mechanism to be dominant. In addition, using the 100cm (T100) and 60cm (T60) telescopes at the TÜBİTAK National Observatory (TUG) some new observations have been obtained. The systems Her X-1, Sco X-1 were observed with the T60 telescope. PSR J1023+0038 was observed with the T100 telescope and short term orbital period variations have been detected.
