Abstract (EN)
The world's ability to spend energy draws a decreasing chart. The need for energy in the world and in the country is increasing day by day with the increase in population. Considering this increasing energy demand, Efficient use of energy has become more important by reducing heat losses in buildings as much as possible. For this purpose, we need to insulate our buildings. Insulation not only reduces heat loss in winter, It also protects us from the sweltering heat of summer. Thanks to the insulation made on the exterior walls of the building, the fuel consumption used to heat the building in winter is reduced, air conditioners etc. used for cooling/ventilation in summer months. the energy consumed by the systems will decrease, perhaps there will be no need for air conditioning at all. Studies on this subject point to long-term gains as it reduces the energy consumption used for heating or cooling, despite the high initial investment cost of insulation. In this study, a single-storey, one-room, roofed small building model made of wood will be used. Experiments were carried out in summer by placing the building model on the terrace of our department. The outer walls of the model will be insulated with at least three different materials and three different thicknesses of each of these materials. In the experiments, the indoor and outdoor temperatures of the building were read at certain times of the day.Using these data, the total heat loss from the building walls (or gain) calculating, The effect of insulation material type and thickness on thermal comfort was investigated. In addition, experiments and calculations were repeated by changing the building direction for each insulation thickness and type. In addition, radiation intensity and wind speed on the horizontal surface were also measured during the experiment. In this study, the lowest indoor temperature in the west and south directions was obtained with 6 cm thick Stone Wool. In the east and north directions, the lowest indoor temperature was obtained with 6 cm thick EPS. Considering all insulation material thicknesses and all directions, the lowest indoor temperature was obtained in EPS 6 cm north direction
