Ill ABSTRACT Master Thesis THE ROLE OF THE MIRACLE IN PROVING PROPIIETIIOOD Mustafa GENÇ The University of Fırat Social Sciences Institute Basic Islamic Sciences Theology Branch 2004, Page: IX+89 A miracle is an event which is given to his messenger by the God. A prophet's being God's messenger can only be done by a miracle. The doctors of Islamic teheology believe that miracle is one of the most important proves of the prophelhood. They say that a prophet can't be a real prophet anless he says "this is my miracle". If his collacutor are incapable in such a situation his claim becomes right. The miracle has to be proved. That prove is the prophet's prophethood. A miracle is an extraordinary event which separates the liar from the honest. The Creater of the world doesn't realize the miracle with a liar. On the other hand, God turns the liar's miracle inside out. Thus a miracle was only given to a prohet and it can only be realized in his hand. Key Words: Miracle, Prophet, The laws of nolure
