Abstract (EN)
The Effects of High Intensity Interval Training and Medium Intensity Continuous Training on Weight Loss, Serum Adiponectin, Leptin, Omentin Level, Sleep and Quality of Life in Obese Young Female Individuals Obesty s a prevalent chronc condton characterzed by excessve fat accumulaton, whch ncreases the rsk of comorbdtes and premature mortalty. Exercse nterventons wthout calorc restrcton are beng explored for ther effects on metabolc and psychosocal parameters n obese ndvduals.Ths randomzed, sngle blnd, non controlled tral nvestgated the effects of hgh ntensty nterval tranng (HIIT) and moderate-ntensty contnuous tranng (MICT) on serum adponectn, leptn, and omentn levels; body composton; anthropometrc measurements; depressve symptoms; sleep qualty; and qualty of lfe n 28 obese women aged 18–50 years. Partcpants performed cyclng exercses on an ergometer three tmes per week for 8 weeks. No detary nterventon was appled. Measurements were taken at baselne and post-nterventon, ncludng serum bomarkers, body composton va boelectrcal mpedance analyss (BIA), wast and hp crcumferences, sknfold thckness, the Beck Depresson Inventory (BDI), Pttsburgh Sleep Qualty Index (PSQI), and the Impact of Weght on Qualty of Lfe-Lte (IWQOL-Lte). A sgnfcant ncrease n serum leptn levels and IWQOL-Lte physcal functon subscale was observed n the HIIT group (p <0.05), whle no sgnfcant changes were found n adponectn, omentn, body weght, BMI, or BIA derved body composton n ether group (p > 0.05). Both groups showed sgnfcant reductons n wast crcumference and sknfold thckness at subscapular and supralac stes (p <0.05), wth a greater decrease n subscapular thckness n the MICT group (p <0.05). The MICT group also showed sgnfcant mprovements n bceps and trceps sknfolds and n PSQI sleep latency and dsturbance subscales (p <0.05). In the HIIT group, wast to hp rato and BDI scores sgnfcantly decreased (p <0.05). Both HIIT and MICT were benefcal n mprovng certan anthropometrc and psychosocal parameters n obese women. However, nether protocol sgnfcantly altered serum adpokne levels or overall body composton. Further long-term randomzed controlled trals ncorporatng detary restrcton are needed to better understand the effects of dfferent exercse modaltes on metabolc health n obesty.
