Abstract (EN)
In this study our aim is to examine and compare body fat ratio, oxidative stress and inflammation markers in obese and healthy women. The study was conducted on individuals who applied to the internal medicine department of Mustafa Kemal University Hospital, were directed to a dietitian and diagnosed as obese, and agreed to participate total of 60 women, 30 obese and 30 healthy in the study. Body fat ratio and mass, C-Reactive Protein (CRP) level, Total Oxidant Status (TOS) and Total Antioxidant Capacity (TAC) for Total Oxidative Stress were measured. When we look at the statistical significance between the experimental and control groups, there was a significant difference between the two groups in body mass index, TAS, TOS, OSİ, CRP, fat rate, lean mass, fat amount, metabolic age, total body fluid, basal metabolic rate, internal organs fat rate, total muscle mass and, bone mineral weight (p> 0.05). It was found that all parameters were higher in the experimental group than the control group. As a result of the study, it was revealed that there is a difference between the biochemical parameters of obese and healthy individuals. Our results will guide future studies on combating obesity.
