Abstract (EN)
The main purpose of this study is to demonstrate the relationship between attachment styles of obesity patients and family functioning and impulsivity levels; depression and anxiety measurements of the patients are also performed to try to understand the etiologic mechanism causing the development of the disease. This relationship is measured by selected measurement tools in a healthy sample group which will not be discussed only with patients who have obesity diagnosis and the difference is tried to be revealed. Data collection tools used in the study are: Sociodemoraphic Data Form, Adult Attachment Scale, Family Assessment Scale, Barrat Impulsivity Scale, Beck Depression Scale, Beck-Anxiety Scale. The SPSS 24.0 statistical program is used to analyze the results. Descriptive tables, parametric and non-parametric tests and correlation methods were used. In the study performed, patients who have obesity by applying to the Internal Medicine Polyclinic will form a sample group. Patients in the sample should have been diagnosed with obesitiy but no additional diagnoses such as mental retardation and psychotic disorder. It is revealed that obesity attachment patterns of 109 and 103 healthy controls were compared with family functioning and impulsivity relationship and depression and anxiety values of individuals who were diagnosed with obesity were higher than healthy control group. In the light of the results of the family assessment scale, it was concluded that the negative family function values of the obese group were higher than healty group.
