In the room

The short film, In the Room, has been shot as a master thesis. In this study, the general information about the short film in the first chapter, pre and post processes in the second chapter are mentioned. In the third chapter, shooting process; in the fourth chapter shooting cost are placed. In the last chapter, the difficulties faced in editing the film and also the information about the players, the crews are mentioned. In the Room emphasizes the relation which is in the people?s mind. Through the short film, a woman and a man are from two different countries; their own rooms; the room is created in their mind while pretending that they spend the time together; the moment they met and the relation they met in the first time are seen. The woman and man live the things which they couldn?t do in real, by the help of computer or telephone and they do the things independently. In a long distance relation, a woman and a man who try to communicate, spent the time in the place that they create. The people that we communicate in the same place, the memories might be remembered. Sometimes, when spending time with the one, it is possible not to feel the shared moment in the mind. The new memory and a new place have been created by the woman and man in the space which communication and lack of communication are the extremely important. The computer, telephone or the webcam are just gadgets for communication. The importance of the relation which they couldn?t communicate when the woman and man are together appears as a third place in the created common area and the lived moments are filled in the rooms as same as the memory. After having formed a collective memory, sharing and communication are integrated. The life is just like a memory which is filled in a bowl. Realizing the memories in our mind which we lived may create an illusional world besides it may create a reflection in the one with a common sharing as a collective memory and relation.
