Abstract (EN)
In this research, the advantages and disadvantages of printing quality, cost, water-ink balance, used dampening water quantity and moistening systems are researched in terms of their effect on to the machine, ink and paper, by making print works with dampening solutions with and without alcohol used in offset printing. For this purpose, printing tests and measurements are done and data collected are analyzed, results are compared and which of moistening system is more advantageous have been evaluated. As a result of research and applications, by rapid development of technology, alternative dampening solutions in world market used in printing without alcohol provides more positive addition than alcohol, and gives more perfect printing results either in efficiency and in human health or in quality and cost because of having no negative effect on paint like alcohol.
