Comparison of executive gualifications from the perspective of teachers, example of sports science graduates and other department graduates

In this study, the opinions of the teachers working in the secondary schools of Van Province, İpekyolu, Edremit and Tuşba districts about the management competencies of the principals of the Sports sciences department and the principals of the other departments are examined. The research was conducted in the relational survey model. Totatly 388 teachers (168 female, 43.3%) and 220 male (56.7%) participated in the study. Between January 2019 and February 2019, the School principals competency scale was applied to 388 teachers in the sample group. The data obtained from the applications were recorded in SPSS 25 statistical analysis program electronically and analyzed by frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, Mann Whitney U, Kruskal Wallis tests. According to the results of the study, according to the teachers' opinions, it was concluded that the school administrators who graduated from the Department of Sport Sciences were partially higher in terms of Conceptual, Technical and Humanistic than the other department graduates, but it was concluded that their qualifications had moderate and close managerial competence. According to personal characteristics of teachers, Various analysis have been conducted to determine the differentiation status of their views about the managerial competencies of school principals. It was observed that the opinions of the participants about the managerial competencies of the principals and other departmental graduates did not differ according to their gender, however, they differed according to their professional experience and the duration of their duty at the school they work with. As a result; According to the teachers' opinions, it was concluded that the conceptual, technical and humanitarian competencies of the school administrators who graduated from the Department of Sport Sciences were partly higher than the other department graduates.
