Abstract (EN)
In this study, it is aimed to examine the relationship between teachers' organizational dissent and their job performance according to their own perceptions. The population of the research consists of 21.468 teachers working in official primary, secondary and high schools in Diyarbakır. The research was carried out with the participation of 362 teachers selected by cluster sampling method among 11.195 teachers working in Sur, Bağlar, Yenişehir and Kayapınar central districts of Diyarbakır. Personal Information Form, Organizational Dissent Scale adapted to Turkish by Dağlı (2015), and Employee Performance Scale adapted to Turkish by Çöl (2008) were used in the study. As a result of the research, it was seen that there was a moderate and positive relationship between teachers' general organizational and vertical dissents and their perceptions of job performance, and a low and positive significant relationship between their horizontal dissent and their perceptions of job performance. In the study, organizational dissent was considered as the independent variable and job performance as the dependent variable, and it was determined that teachers' vertical dissent were a significant predictor of their job performance. In addition, teachers' organizational dissents do not differ according to the variables of gender, age and educational status. Compared to single teachers, married teachers, unionized teachers compared to non-union teachers, and teachers who are close to the middle of their professional seniority have more horizontal dissent compared to teachers who are in the first years of their profession. According to the school level variable, the horizontal, vertical, general organizational dissents and job performances of teachers working in primary schools are statistically significantly higher than teachers working in secondary schools and high schools. Teachers' perceptions of job performance do not show a significant difference in terms of gender, age, marital status, professional seniority, education level and union membership.
