Abstract (EN)
This study was aimed to mothers residing in Oğuzeli district and gave live birth in 2014. It is aimed to determine the socioeconomic properties of mothers, the status and quality of antenatal care they were given and their satisfaction level of antenatal care quality. It is also aimed to find out the factors affecting these. Research was performed on 260 women who are registered to Oğuzeli Familty Healthcare Center and gave live birth in 2014. Data was gathered through a questionnaire, analyzed by chi-square test and Z-test, p<0,05 was considered significant. All 260 mothers taking part in the research were given antenatal care at least once. 256 (98,4%) of these motheres were given 4 or more antenatal care. The health center where most of the mothers were given antenal care was Familty Health Center 242 (93,0%) and Private Hospitals 193 (74,2%) respectively (n=260). Mean antenal care count was 9,04±0,194. 239 of 260 mothers (91.9%) were given antenatal care on a health center different than Family Health Center at least once during their last pregnancy. Reasons for his preference were "Desire to take antenal care from a medical specialist" for 52,3% of mothers, "Better service" for 26,7% of mothers and "I want to have USG examination on every control" for 26,3% of mothers. Of 260 mothers taking part in the search, during their antenatal care, in private and public health centers respectively, percentage of mothers whose weight hasn't been measured is 22,3% and 4,9%; whose blood pressure hasn't been measured was 15,7% and 2,4%; whose complete blood count hasn't been examined is 17,3% and 5,3% and whose urine analysis hasn't been examined is 16,2% and 7,3%. In the research, we concluded that the quantity of anetenatal care was acceptable however quality was not. Key Words: Antenatal care, Family Healthcare Center, Reproductive Health
