Abstract (EN)
This study titled, The Structure and Theme in the Theater Works of Oktay Rifat Horozcu aims to examine the life story of the author, the understanding of art and the theater works. The study consists of three parts. In the first part, the general view of the Turkish theater from the Tanzimat period to the Republic is given and in the secondpart, information about the life, art and works of the author is given. The turning points of his life, the beginning of the life of art, the changes and developments in the understanding of art have been conveyed. The third part is the longest and most comprehensive part of the study. Here the author's plays have been studied under six main titles. Under the title "Introduction of Games", information about how the work appeared and its printing was given. Under the title "Event Organization", clashes and main nodes in the work were focused on. "Themes" were evaluated under two titles, each theme being further detailed in itself. "Game Contacts" were examined in terms of their functions and types, they were grouped in themselves. In the "Time", "Space" and "Language and Style" parts, each game was dealt with and examined separately. In the results section, the findings from the study are presented.
