Abstract (EN)
This research was conducted in kindergartens located in the center of Niğde province, with the aim of examining the effect of parents' harmony within the family on the child's success and performance at school. The sample of the research was applied to 24 teachers and 193 parents on behalf of 193 students in the 36-60 month age group attending public and private kindergartens affiliated with the Ministry of National Education in the center of Niğde in the spring semester of the 2024-2025 academic year. In order to collect data regarding the research; "Personal Information Form" containing information for parents, "Renewed Dyadic Adjustment Scale" to measure the harmony of parents within the family, and "Kindergarten and Kindergarten Behavior Scale" to measure children's social adaptation skills and their success in school were used. SPSS package program was used to analyze the data. The frequency and percentage values of the data were calculated using the SPSS package program in the computer environment. For the statistics to be performed on the differentiation of the data according to a factor, it was first checked whether the data showed a normal distribution. Structural equation model analysis was carried out to make a comparative analysis of the "Kindergarten and Kindergarten Behavior Scale", which determines the child's success, and the "Renewed Dyadic Adjustment Scale", which determines the harmony of the child's family. Family couple adjustment refers to the level of satisfaction, compromise, and consensus in a couple's relationships with each other. As a result of the research, it was determined that there was a significant relationship between family harmony and the child's success in school. Marriage and family dynamics have a huge impact on children's development. The harmony of parents with each other and their relationships with their children directly affects the psychological and physical development of children. It has been determined that marital harmony and discord affect many areas, from children's social skills to their emotional state and their success at school. It was determined that children of parents with emotional harmony had high levels of social cooperation skills, social independence and social acceptance skills, social interaction skills and external orientation at school, while their introversion, antisocial behavior and self-centered nature were low.
