Abstract (EN)
The fundamental years of an individual?s life, 0-6 ages, are extremely important years for perceiving the world, adapting to the environment, being able to continue his life in harmony,acquiring fundamental behaviours and following up his development healthily. Fort his reason, the experiences and the education at this period are structured which will affect the individual?s following years, namely the whole life. The positive and rich experiences which are acquired at pre-school term provides growing up strong and well-qualified individuals as psyhcologically and physically. Because the individuals constitute the socities, growing uo strong and wel-qualified individuals will provide forming developed and high-educated socities.This research is made for determining the affects of pre-school education on the success in primary school. The population of the research consists of classroom teachers working in the city center of Diyarbakır in 2010-2011 educational season. The sample of the research consists of randomly-chosen the classroom teachers working in the city center of Diyarbakır. The research is a descritive survey. The questionnaire, which has personal information, thirt-nine items at the type of 5-likert, one open-ended question, is prepared by the researcher himself for collecting the necessary data for applying to classroom teachers. A pre-application is made for the questionnnaire and after the necessary validity and reliability studies, two items which are found?omittable? are omitted. The questionnaire, which consists of personal information, thirty-seven 5-likert items an done open-enden question, are applied to four hundred classroom teachers which are randomly-selected from the classroom teachers working in the city center of Diyarbakır. However, three hundred of them have come back and the data are collected by evaluating three hundred ten questionnnaires after omitting the questionnnaires which are not suitable for evaluation. The data which are obtained are analyzed statistically by the ?SPSS 16.0 for Windows? computer programme.After the results of the analysis fort he research, it has been seen that the classroom teachers have the positive ideas about the pre-school education and agree with the affects of the pre-school education on the success in primary school. The teachers point out that there are easily seen differences between the ones who have experienced the pre-school education and the ones who don?t get the education as social aspect as the success and the attribution to the experiences of learning.As a result of the research, it can be reached that pre-school education affects the cildren?s social,physical, cognitive, ethical and language development in addition to academic success positively. Besides, the teachers clarify that the necessary importance and participation are not yet supplied and they suggest that necessary studies should be made to maximize the participation of both parents and educationalists, authorized people.Key Words: Pre-school Education, Primary School Success, Teacher.
