Sleep disorders are among the main causes of traffic accidents. Sleep apnea and drowsiness are the main causes of school bus drivers being involved in traffic accidents. The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between traffic accidents and drowsiness in school bus drivers in the Akdağmadeni district of Yozgat province and to present the precautions that need to be taken regarding drowsiness in traffic. The study used a quantitative method and a survey was conducted with 112 school bus drivers working in the Akdağmadeni district of Yozgat province. It was determined that the sleep levels of the school bus drivers participating in the study were mostly normal. The age, number of children, working hours and education level of the school bus drivers affect their sleep. It was determined that there was no significant relationship between the sleepiness score of school bus drivers and the effect of sleep on traffic accidents.
