Examining school administrators' ethical leadership behaviors and teachers' perceptions of organizational cynicism and organizational commitment levels

This research is based on the descriptive survey model, which is one of the quantitative research methods, in order to examine the relationship between the ethical leadership behaviors of school administrators and teachers' organizational cynicism perceptions and organizational commitment levels in terms of various variables. In this direction, teachers' perceptions of organizational cynicism and organizational commitment levels according to various variables were examined, and the data obtained were compared with the ethical leadership behavior levels of school administrators. As a result of the research, it was determined that the organizational commitment levels of the teachers did not show a significant difference according to the variables of gender, age, seniority and type of school. In addition, it was determined that the organizational cynicism perceptions of the teachers did not show a significant difference according to the variables of gender, age and seniority, but it was concluded that the organizational cynicism perceptions of the teachers working in the kindergarten were lower than the others. It was concluded that the organizational cynicism levels of the teachers were lower and the organizational commitment levels were higher in schools where school administrators showed ethical leadership behavior. Finally, it was concluded that school administrators' ethical leadership behavior predicts teachers' perceptions of organizational cynicism and organizational commitment levels.
