Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to investigate relationship between high school principals' cultural leadership roles and teachers' job satisfaction and professional ethics. A relational research model was used in the study. The data gathered from 339 principals and 1159 teachers of 17 cities from 7 different geographical regions of Turkey were analysed, using SPSS Programme. The results revealed that there is significant differences between the ideas of teachers and principals in general, and among the teachers and principals working different regions, on the successes in cultural leadership roles of principals. The results also indicated that the teachers' ideas on the cultural leadership roles of principals were affected by the variable of experience althought gender and branch variables had no effect. It was observed that the teachers had a low job satisfaction, especially because of bad economic canditions. It was also observed that the teachers working in private schools had higher level of job satisfaction than those working in sate schools. Meanwhile it was found that the gender, experience in job and working in different regions affected the teachers' job satisfaction. The results showed that the teachers in private schools had more positive views on professional ethics than those working in state schools and gender, experience and branch didn't have any effects but working in a different region of country had an important effect. The results revealed that there is a significant relationship between cultural leadership roles of principals and teachers' job satisfaction and professional ethics according to teachers' ideas.
