The relationship between the leadership styles of school managers and the levels of teachers' motivation

In this study, it was aimed to determine the relationship between the transformational, liberating, and continuity leadership characteristics of school administrators and the motivation levels of teachers, if there is a relationship, in which direction the relationship is and the level of the relationship. For this purpose, the relationship between school administrators' leadership styles and teachers' motivation levels was examined. In the research, descriptive and relational survey model, which is one of the quantitative research methods, was used. It was determined that the data showed normal distribution and parametric tests were used. The research was conducted on 501 teachers working in the official kindergarten, primary, secondary and secondary education levels in Erzincan in the 2020-2021 academic year. The data obtained from the research were analyzed by loading into the SPSS 22 program. In line with the findings obtained in the study, it was observed that the motivation levels of the teachers did not change according to their gender, marital status, age variable, seniority and school level type. According to what was obtained from the research, the transformational leadership round variables exhibited by school administrators also increase the motivation increase. As the liberating leadership characteristics of school administrators increase, teachers' motivation levels decrease. According to another finding of the study, the motivation levels of the teachers decreased as the continuity leadership characteristics of the school administrators increased.
