School administrators ' views on appointing administrators

This research administrators who work in educational institutions the Ministry of National Education, school administrators to determine their views on the process to assign and demographic characteristics to examine whether differ in their views of the manager according to the assignment process was conducted. It is designed in a research screening model where qualitative and quantitative research methods are used together. The research was carried out in the 2018-2019 academic year on the managers working in the official educational institutions located in the Elmalı District of Antalya province. The questionnaire prepared for the purpose of the study was applied to 81 school administrators who made up the entire universe, while the interview form was applied to 52 school administrators who agreed to participate. The data obtained from the surveys were evaluated in computer environment through the SPSS 22.0 statistical package program. Content analysis was performed on the data obtained from the interviews. As a result of research surveys in educational institutions were requested to be made by the Ministry of administrative assignments, interviews interviews is questionable because of the lack of objectivity, interviews are conducted, the test should be done at universities to be created by the Joint Commission is concluded. According to the managers who participated in the research, the term of office of the school administrators should be limited to at least 5 to no more than 10 years in the same institution, teaching experience and assistant principal experience should be taken as criteria for appointments. The following results were reached through the evaluation of the interviews: the principal of the school must have an exam and the content of the exam must be more qualified to cover specific subjects. If there is not an interview, the school administrator should be chosen within the framework of the director's philosophy of leadership, general ability and view of events by making an assessment based on more fair, objective and merit principles. In addition to the Written Exam in the appointments of the school principal, the interview should be conducted through qualified, fair and worthy institutions or organizations. When creating an interview commission, it should be approached within the framework of these principles and it should be noted that stakeholder views do not contribute directly to the process of assignment.
