Abstract (EN)

Since the beginning of humanity, the immigration phenomenon has been the agenda of societies. The concept of immigration, currently one of the main agendas of our country, is the subject of our research. The involvement of individuals that are the subject of the concept of immigration and therefore addressed as immigrants in the process is possible through immigration or emigration. In this research, the effect of schooling on integration process and gender roles in the new environments where individuals associated with immigration or emigration activities are present is studied. Within the scope of the study, a survey technique was applied to 99 Syrian and 103 Turkish immigrant students at secondary and high school levels. The data obtained as a result of the survey was analyzed using the SPSS 21.0 for Windows package program. This thesis, examined in the context of the effect of schooling on the integration of immigrants and gender roles, is expected to contribute to the immigration literature and immigration policies.
