Abstract (EN)

In this dissertation all Ömer Seyfeddin's Works are examined in terms of socological themes including articles, letters, translations, stories and poems. Ömer Seyfeddin is not only known as an intellectual but also as an ideolog and is the founder Yeni Hayat (New Life) and Yeni Lisan (New Language). Further he was a bridge for Halka Doğru (Towrad the Peopele) idea between the intellectual side and the people. He also formed a social, cultural nd emotional basis for Millî Mücadele (National Struggle) with his Works. Ömer Seyfeddin pointed out the affects of dualities between modern-traditional, east-west, allaturca-allafranca by his characters in his works. In his ideological articles, Ömer Seyfeddin examined all aspects of renovations and New Life and the probable results of social, political, economic and cultural changes. He was also one of the leading figures of Turkism. He noticed the impacts of imperialism, colonialism on the social structure and alienation of the individual an struggled with them.
