Abstract (EN)
Two alternative methods exists to find the maximum load carrying prestressed reinforced concrete members and the corresponding maximum displacement of the load that are widely used in today?s construction industry, namely, having the laboratory testing of 3 sample members and analysis by analytical modeling. Laboratory testing is limited and often costly considering the member sizes, support conditions, loading, prestress force etc. This study aims to compare the actual laboratory test results of simply supported prestressed concrete beams having rectangular cross-section subjected to two symmetrical quarter-point loads with the results of the nonlinear finite element model (FEM) developed for ANSYS structural analysis software. Thus, a computer model that can best represent the actual behaviour tried to be achieved.
