Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, the variations of the magnetic field were measured, by designing an optical fiber magnetic field sensor. The optical fiber magnetic field sensor, which is based on the extrinsic Fabry-Pérot, has an interferometric structure. At this interferometric magnetic field sensor, a Terfenol-D rod was used which has a giant magnetostrictive properties. In order to measure the variation of the length of the Terfenol-D rod which has a frame with spring, was placed in the middle of the selonoid. The magnetic field strength was obtained to 300 G by applying 0-60 V voltage to the selonoid via a programmable power supply. The variations of the length of the Terfenol-D rod with respect to the values of the applied magnetic field were measured by using the optical fiber Fabry Pérot interferometer. The magnetic field has been measurement unlike other optical fiber Fabry Pérot magnetic field sensors by using the dual-diode laser which has different wavelengths at the same time.
