The problems of ordu vocational center hairdressing department students in their workplaces ande their identifications

In this study, it has been aimed to carry out the opinions related to the problems that the students meet in the hairdressing department of vocational education centre in province of Ordu. The study has been done with the descriptive research method which depends on scanning model. The survey used in the research which has been prepared by the researcher in order to designate the problems that the students meet in the hairdressing department of vocational education centre in province of Ordu. The studying universe of this research has been formed with the students who study in the hairdressing department in the second term of 2006-2007 teaching and education year in the vocational education centre of province of Ordu. The sample of the study has been formed with 151 students in the defined universe. The data used in the research which has been gathered with the help of the written survey which is developed by the researcher. The form of survey consists of 58 questions which have been prepared under the titles of personal information, atmosphere of employment place and conditions of working, workers of employment place, coordinator teacher and the customer relationships, duties and responsibilities of place of employment, problems of health. iv The statistical analyses of the data have been carried out with SPSS windows packet programme. Frequency and the techniques of percent, ki-square test have been applied in the analysis of data. The demographic features of students in the research and their basic characteristics have been examined in separate part in order to light the way for this research. It has been defined that 10 % of minimum and 80 % of maximum problems about the titles that have been examined the students? workplace atmosphere and conditions of working, workers of workplace, coordinator teacher and relationships of customer, the duties and responsibilities of employer, the problems of health. The each of problems has been examined one by one and some suggestions have been made. According to all of these results, some suggestions have been made to the teachers of Vocational Education Centre, Employers, Municipalities, Province Vocational Education Committee, Craft and Artist Associations, Ministry of Labour and Social Security, Green Crescent Society, General Manager of Apprentice and Common Schools Education. In addition, some suggestions have been made in order to educate the apprentices who are in the vocational education centre in our country more excellent and to take teaching and working in better conditions.
