Abstract (EN)
One of the most significant issues facing countries globally is waste management. Waste can be divided into various types, and organic waste is one of these categories. Organic waste is difficult to manage due to its volume and rapid decomposition. Poor management of this type of waste increases the burden on landfills, thereby reducing their lifespan. This study investigates the organic waste management processes and compost production methods in Adana province. Data on the production processes and quantities from the compost facilities belonging to the Seyhan and Yüreğir municipalities in Adana were compared. Problems and disruptions encountered in the processes were evaluated in detail.
