Abstract (EN)

Open green areas around the workplaces of organized industrial workers with heavy workloads and long working hours are effective on the quality of life. This study aims to determine how open green areas affect the quality of life of employees. The distribution of open green areas in Dilovası Organized Industrial Zone was determined and open green area planning and design suggestions for OIZs were presented. The answers given by employees on the quality of life scale were compared with the use of these areas. In this direction, the scale of the research was applied to a total of 200 people working in Dilovası Organized Industrial Zone, a 3-point Likert-type survey was applied for employees' participation in leisure activities, and a 5-point Likert-type survey was applied on the happiness and quality of life scale. When the findings were analyzed, it was seen that the demographic characteristics of the individuals participating in the study positively affected their participation in recreational activities. In addition, it was determined that the participation levels of individuals in recreational activities were also positively related to the happiness levels of individuals, and it was determined that as the happiness level increased, the quality of life of employees increased at the same rate.
