Abstract (EN)
Baglama is one of the basic instruments of Turkish Folk Music and is considered as an important part of art education. Baglama education plays a critical role in transferring cultural heritage as well as providing students with technical skills. In this context, bağlama lessons given in formal education and distance education include different teaching methods and practices, and the efficiency and effects of both models have become an important research topic. Especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, distance education has become compulsory, which has brought about an important transformation in applied music courses such as baglama lessons. In this study, the methods used in bağlama lessons in the context of formal and distance education were examined comparatively and the effects of these two education models were evaluated in terms of various variables. In the study, factors such as teaching methods, practical and theoretical aspects of the course, technological tools used, student motivation, teacher competencies and feedback processes were discussed. Within the scope of the study, using qualitative research method, interviews were conducted with instructors who teach bağlama courses in formal and distance education, and data on students' academic achievements and learning processes were analyzed. When the difficulties and successes experienced in online and face-to-face teaching processes in baglama education are examined, it is seen that the most common problems encountered by teachers are students' lack of motivation, lack of attendance, technical infrastructure problems and lack of readiness. The findings reveal the advantages and disadvantages of distance education in teaching baglama and offer suggestions for more effective education models that can be applied in this field in the future. This research aims to provide important data on how digitalization and technological tools can be used more efficiently in the field of music education.
