Autobiographical elements in Nihat Ziyalan's works

One of the well-known authors of Turkish literature, Nihat Ziyalan, is reported to have based his writings by both his personal experiences and the social dynamics of his community. As a result, evaluating the author's works in isolation from his biography is impossible. Comprehending Ziyalan's writings in their entirety is crucial for illuminating the unexplored facets of the writer's biography. It is clear that viewing Ziyalan's works critically allows them to be interpreted as autobiographical. One may argue that there is a very evident link between Nihat Ziyalan's life and his artistic creations. The author's works contain several scenes from his life. The author places a high value on his personal life, especially his time as a student, in his writing. Nearly every aspect of his life can be found in his writings, particularly his marriages, his recollections of serving in the military, his employment in the film industry, his connections with his family, the towns and nations he settled in, and his job in the family business. As a result, it is possible to argue that the author's life and works are strongly related. In order to better understand Ziyalan's works and have a closer understanding of his life, this study attempts to discover the autobiographical components in Ziyalan's works. To uncover the connection between Ziyalan's life and his creations, a review of the sources was conducted in order to identify the facets of his life that were represented in his works and to assess the degree to which these facets were true. The following headings have been assigned to these similarities: His family, his early years, his marriage, his surroundings, the film industry, writers, and poets are all represented in his traces.
