Abstract (EN)
Within the scope of the research, academicians' organizational commitment; It is examined in the context of the concepts of eustress, distress, informal communication and 'colleague interaction'. In this context, the study aims to make inferences about the emotional states and behaviors of academics in their business lives. Within the scope of the quantitative research method, data were collected cross-sectionally through a survey from 544 academics. The survey questions consist of forms such as 'Üç Bileşenli Örgütsel Bağlılık Ölçeği', 'Östres ve Distres Ölçeği', 'İnformel İletişim Ölçeği' and 'Çalışma Arkadaşları Etkileşimi'. Participants were included in the research within the non-probability sampling method (cluster sampling and purposeful sampling method). Data were analyzed with SPSS and AMOS programs. The results show that there is a positive significant relationship between organizational commitment and informal communication. There is also a strong and significant relationship between the variables 'colleague interaction' and organizational commitment. This indicates that the formal and informal communication established by academics in the workplace is essential for organizational belonging. The findings are important in understanding the ways academics, an intellectual group, establish relationships in terms of organizational affiliation. The research has several limitations due to the cross-sectional collection of data and the use of a non-probability sampling method, so the findings cannot be generalized across all academic clusters. However, it provides a productive output in terms of understanding academics about research.
