Abstract (EN)

Nowadays individuals have been spending a significant portion of their lifetime in various organizations. People, who already have their own complex structure, has become a part of their organizational structure as well. It is an inevitable fact that organizations do influence individuals' whole life, rather than their work life only. There are both positive and negative consequences of having an organizational structure. One of them is conflict. Conflict in organizational culture is as common as conflict experienced in other domains of life. Depending on its severity, conflict in workplace –like conflicts in all other domains- may have positive and/or negative effects on organizations. When conflict occurs, it will be of great benefit to organizations if managers can identify and deal with the conflict in a timely manner. Employers have a critical role in organizations where interpersonal relationships should be managed effectively. Otherwise, if conflict is not managed effectively, its effects on employees are exacerbated resulting in several losses in an organization. In this study, the concept of conflict, types of conflict, causes of organizational conflict, and finally, the effects of conflict on employees, the main actor of organizations as well as its consequences are examined. Keywords: Organizational Conflict, Types of Conflict, Reasons of Conflict, Motivation, Stress, Attitude
