Abstract (EN)
Almost all content related to management, defined as the oldest of the arts and the newest of the sciences, is of Anglo-Saxon origin. When applying this management knowledge in a different country, society, or workplace, it is essential to accurately analyze the elements that distinguish cultures from one another. For example, developing a new scale would yield more reliable measurement results than translating and using a scale developed in the United States. To deal with this problem, this study aims to develop a valid and reliable scale to measure organizational intelligence. The research design in the study employs exploratory sequential mixed method. In this direction, the dimensions of organizational intelligence (i.e. cognitive, structural, behavioral, social/emotional) were determined by reviewing existing organizational intelligence definitions and models in the qualitative phase. Then, an item pool was created based on the determined dimensions; expert opinions were taken; the application was made on the sample and the scale was finalized. The observation unit of the study consisted of 576 white-collar employees with at least 2 years of experience. The research data has been collected through online questionnaires and analyzed SPSS, version 25 and AMOS plugin. In this regard; normality test, sampling adequacy test, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, convergent and discriminant validity test were performed. The results of the analysis confirmed the four-factor structure of organizational intelligence. The developed measurement tool is expected to guide practitioners, academia and society in the assessment and development of organizational intelligence.
