Abstract (EN)
This study, which is carried out for the purpose of revealing the vocabulary in the first novel "Cevdet Bey and His Sons" and the last novel " The Museum of Innocence" by Orhan Pamuk, consists of introduction, three chapters and conclusion parts. In introduction part, Orhan Pamuk's life, his literary identity and his works are mentioned. The words that appear in vocabulary are analyzed under the title of type, meaning and origin. The second chapter contains the vocabulary elements. The frequency of occurence of the words that takes part is the third chapter. The conclusions about the vocabulary of novels are arranged in conclusion part. The words that used in novels are added at the end of the study. It is established that Orhan Pamuk, who improved himself from the viewpoint of using the word type between his first and last novel, enriched the vocabulary. In his novels, it is determined that the usage of Turkish origin word level is high and also he benefits from vocabulary elements such as reduplications, contact word, proverb etc. Keywords: Orhan Pamuk, Cevdet Bey and His Sons, The Museum of Innocence, language, vocabulary.
